Principal's Page

Welcome students and families,

Thank you for visiting our website. I am excited and honored to serve as the principal of North Windham School. I feel extremely fortunate to be the principal of a school with such wonderful children, a motivated and dedicated staff and families who work with us to create an environment that facilitates student learning and emotional well-being.

North Windham School’s mission is to provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment where children feel successful, challenged, accepted, and loved. Our school community shares a commitment to support cultural and linguistic diversity, social-emotional development, meaningful academic engagement, and the pursuit of lifelong learning.

I know that this school year will be very different from any previous school year.  As we begin the 2020-21 school year, I know more than ever that the support we receive from each family will be critical to your child’s success at school.  North Windham School traditionally has extremely high parental involvement in our community. I applaud your commitment to your child’s education.  First and foremost, parental involvement means getting your children to school on their in-person days or ensuring they log in during their virtual days.  Being present when possible to monitor your child’s schoolwork, providing a quiet place for schoolwork completion and staying informed about your child’s progress and grades via their teacher are all important ways to support your child’s success at our school.

I am looking forward to this “non-traditional” but exciting school year with the greatest children, families, and staff in the world!

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Bumgardner
Principal
